I know I haven't uploaded many fakes here - that is because I've been hard at work on the new Acanthite series TCG (which is going to be totally sweet by the way - and we're looking for artists! If you think you can help or are just interested feel free to visit and sign up at [link]) which has meant I haven't had as much time for throwing in random fakes as in the past.

Nevertheless myself and some other folks from Acanthite were discussing more or less how terrible the new cards are when I thought I should have a go at putting one together.

The spot-on blank here is from ~ShiningBill, obviously :P

I just really don't like the BW setup tbh. As well as now being so powerful it's taking the mick (see: [link]) they've been overridden with generic 5ban Graphics art and the wording feels like our translation team just couldn't give a toss anymore ("does 10 more damage for each X Energy attached to this Pokémon" - they can't even be arsed to type the Pokémon's name anymore).

So yeah, happy rant. Hope you like the card and stuff :D

Yeah, I've noticed those things, too. I really preferred the HGSS setup and the DPPt setup.

I preferred the EX-series setup :D I guess at the end of the day it's personal opinion tbh

The name of the Pokemon was replaced with "this Pokemon" due to the fact it could cause confusion to the younger players. If you had for instance two Pokemon with the same name on your field, you could be misleaded to think that the Power/Body of one could be used for another one, while the card could only refer to itself. Thus, writing "This Pokemon" instead of i.e. "Zekrom" is more appropriate looking at the rule's side.

Fair point, though this has been clarified in rulebooks and stuff for years, and it doesn't take a minute to explain to someone :P

But yeah, it just feels strange changing it after so many years :P

Yeah, but I can still recall playing with some random players on the net, who didn't seem to get that rule... This change is for plus as far as I'm concerned. Maybe partially because I don't play PTCG for that long to feel strange after the change...
